WE ARE MAKING OUR SECOND COMMUNITY NEWSPAPER! COMING TO YOU THIS SUMMER.

ARE YOU AN ISLINGTON LOCAL? Do you want to contribute to a community newspaper? Cubitt Community Press wants to hear from you!

We are looking for contributions for our second edition of our Cubitt Community Newsletter, we’re opening submissions for: ideas, articles, poems, photos, stories, interviews, recipes, guides, complaints, gossip, and more. For this second edition, we’re especially excited to explore what Islington looked like back in the day, unearthing photos, stories and radical histories from our borough. So if you have photos or gossip from back in the day, personal histories around squatted houses, feminist bookshops or public art - get in touch!

This is open to anyone who lives, works, or spends time in Islington, so if you have something you want to share let us know!

ARE YOU A COMMUNITY GROUP/ PROJECT/ CENTRE OR ORGANISING GROUP? We are also interested in platforming local communities, community projects, and social justice organising groups, that have stories and information to share about their work. If this is you - please submit information about what you do and we can include you in the newsletter.

DEADLINE: 3 June 2025

SUBMISSIONS AND QUESTIONS: [email protected] OR you can send/drop off your submission to: Cubitt Community Press, 8 Angel Mews, N19HH (near Angel station)

FORMAT: Digital text files (Word Documents, or body text of an email), Images (JPG or PNG), or other text files. A4 Formats also work, if dropped off in person.

We will be meeting on the 5th of June to put everything together, so if you’re keen to meet us and get involved, come by - it’s open to everyone.

We meet at Cubitt Gallery, 8 Angel Mews, N1 9HH.
